Before You Travel

  • Passport: Ensure at least 6 months of validity beyond your travel dates.
  • Flights: Book to Mexico City International Airport (MEX) — approx. 2 hours from Valle de Bravo. If you require assistance finding the ideal flight schedule reach out to Miguel Tame at miguel@vmte.com.mx and he will gladly assist you. 
  • Transfers: Complimentary group transfers are arranged; confirm your arrival/departure times with our concierge.
  • Travel Insurance: Recommended for international medical and trip coverage.
  • Currency:

What to Pack

Essentials

  • Valid ID/passport, travel documents, health insurance card
  • Comfortable travel outfit and light jacket for evenings
  • Closed shoes or sneakers for excursions
  • Lightweight rain jacket (occasional afternoon showers)

Wellness & Comfort

  • Yoga/fitness wear (2–3 sets)
  • Swimwear (for pool, jacuzzi, or spa)
  • Reusable water bottle
  • Sunscreen, insect repellent, sunglasses, hat
  • Journal or book for reflection
  • Optional: small daypack for hikes or town visits

Evening & Dining

  • Resort-casual outfits for dinners and gatherings
  • Optional light sweater or shawl for outdoor evenings

Optional Add-Ons

  • Personal wellness items (supplements, essential oils)
  • Small gifts for local artisans or retreat staff
  • Credit card or small MXN cash for town markets or café visits

Arrival Tips

  • Upon landing at MEX, look for your Casa Lago driver holding a sign with your name.
  • The scenic drive to Valle de Bravo takes approx. 2 hours.
  • Check-in begins at 3:00 PM on Day 1; orientation starts at 5:00 PM.
